Switch India through its fitness wing organised 2 Parkour workshops at Shivaji park, Dadar, Mumbai. The workshops were conducted on 25th Aug & 1st Sept 2018 & went on for 3 hours on each day.

It included basic parkour training. Parkour, including practices like obstacle training and free running is a not very common sport in our country but is known to have multiple benefits and have proven to be pros for a human body.

More than 50 fitness enthusiasts, most of them medicos, participated in the workshops. The workshop was organised in collaboration with Windcatz Parkour, an oustanding Parkour practicing group based at Ambernath, Mumbai.

The session started with a warm up and then progressed to what we see in Jackie Chan movies. Long stair climbs , precision jumps, moves on bars, one hand obstacle jumping, wall climbing, summersaults, backflips and so much more, was all covered in the workshop.

The participants were astonished by the amazing techniques, were proud of themselves to be able to learn some of those moves and quickly get adapted to it, at the same time were mesmerized by the parkour moves performed by the trainers.

3 hours passed in a fraction. Credits to Switch India and its fitness wing for bringing in such initiatives.
