HEALING EXPERIENCES
To establish oneself, In this fast- paced competitive world, hierarchy and inequalities are given rise to, which takes a huge toll on the health of the people.

Out of all forms of inequality, injustice to health care is the most brutal and inhumane type, wherein it is neglected or hidden with the fear of not being the fittest or not surviving. Because as they say ' SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST'. And this kind of behavior or injustice is usually suffered by the underprivileged people, having lower socioeconomic statuses.

To bridge this gap between the communities and trying to establish a common platform for all the members of society to get equal and proper medical facilities, many activists, social workers, non-governmental organizations, organizes various campaigns, street plays, advertisements through social media, pamphlets, to raise the awareness.

Recently I came through an organization named Eternal Hindu Foundation, they collaborated with one of the finest NGO Switch. These both organizations joined hands to serve the community and had established a medical camp with the primary motto of raising awareness regarding the physical health in underprivileged section.

The camp was organized in the premises of Hindu temple. According to me the venue for the camp perfectly justified as a temple is the only place where inequality doesn't exist. And it was lead by a team of 5 very professional and dedicated Physical Therapist, along with the volunteers to manage the crowd.

As per the Hindu beliefs, any good deed/service is started with the blessings of God. And the camp was too inaugurated with candle lighting ceremony with the founder of Eternal Hindu Foundation, all the doctors and the other important delegates of the organization.

Organizing and managing camps at this large scale is a real task. But the volunteers did the job so efficiently and effortlessly. We as a working team never felt burdened with the patient load and did not realize that we have screened, advised, taught and referred almost near to 100 patients in a matter of just 4 hours, which according to me was commendable on the part of the management team.

Post-camp, all the feedbacks, and the highlights were listed out by the volunteers and the founder personally appreciated our timely, dedicated services. A word of thanks was given by a guest who has been to many camps, said "he has never seen such selfless and detailed screenings of patients" in any of the camps.

The founder expressed his wish to work with Switch on more such projects with a view of reaching out to as many people as possible from every corner of the community.

The medical camp was terminated with the felicitation of all the doctors and light refreshments served. The camp was truly an example of UNION OF COMPASSION, CARE AND HEALING HANDS!
