Switch India in collaboration with Bright Future NGO conducted a workshop on First Aid & Emergency on 21st of September at Goregaon and Khar.

We reached the respective locations at 10:30am where the staff and the students gave us a very warm response. It was the most wonderful experience for all 4 of us who conducted the workshop.

It was the first time for the 4 of us to conduct a workshop and we can’t express how wonderful it was. The satisfaction you get after sharing knowledge is priceless.

There were around 30 students at both the centres with ages ranging from 18-25 years of age. The arrangement of laptop and projector was done very well at both the locations.

The students were very curious and enthusiastic to gain some basic knowledge. They actively participated in all the drills and the demonstrations that were shown to them.

They asked us several questions about situations they had faced in their everyday lives. Certain myths about common emergencies that they used to do were cleared by us like applying heat to ankle sprain.

All the important points of the session were noted down by them in their notebooks. We made it a point to drill certain important things in their minds like 108 is the ambulance service number, how to use a fire extinguisher, how to control bleeding and many more interesting topics.

The session lasted for about 2 hours and at the end each child made sure that they would take prompt and wise action and make sure that they could save lives in any small way possible.
