Because of the current COVID 19 pandemic many of the private hospitals are closed and there seems to be an increase in crowd of corona patients in Bhabha hospital too. This general health care camp were organised for seven days from 14th May to 21st May.

There were 4 volunteers including a physiotherapy student and a pharmacist with 3 stations arranged : registration , pulse oxymeter and BP measurements, general checkup and pharmacy .

The safety majors were at top priority , all the volunteers were provided by PPE kit, sanitizers and face shields . After everything, the area and all the used equipment’s were getting sanitized with sanitizing sprays including chairs on which the patients were seated . Social distancing was maintained by everyone .

In this camp all the volunteers and the local doctors Dr. Hemant Jadhav, Dr. Katkar,Dr. Sandip Patil , Dr. Prasad kadam contributed their valuable efforts.

The camp were held everyday between 4 pm to 7-8 pm ( depending on the patients flowing in ).

We were assisting doctors with history, vitals checkup of patients and distribution of medicines. Total patients count was around 90 – 110 each day. Medicines were provided as needed.

If needed patients were sent to Bhabha hospital for further tests and check-ups. counseling of patients for anxiety and fear about COVID 19 was also done in this camp.

All the volunteers and peoples were very cooperative. Doctors have taught me so many things about almost all the diagnosis came for patients while working with them.

Watching smiles over the faces of patients was a real satisfaction after-all, “Service to mankind is a service to God“
