Matheran is a splendid and the most popular hill station in Maharashtra, covering an area of 8 sq. kms. in the Sahyadris.
Matheran turns into the trekkers' playground during the monsoons with various climbing points like Garbett, One Tree Hill, Rambagh and Porcupine. Although all the routes are well defined with easy climbs, Garbett is the best one amongst them.
The huge plateau expanse has the view of several waterfalls in the neighbouring mountains with winds blowing at high speed.
Switch India organised this 4 hour endurance challenge for 63 participants to visit this beautiful place. We also carried out an antilitter programme along with Rotaract Club of the Caduceus to clean up those mountains & collected 18 bags of plastic waste.
