At first I thought doing 150 squats in 30 days would be a piece of cake, just like my usual walk through the garden. And so I accepted the 30 days Squats challenge.
It started on 12th January, 2019. On day 1, we had to do just 20 squats. But as the days progressed, the number of squats to be done per day went on increasing.
It was Day 11 when i had to do 70 squats at a shot and that was when I started to feel, "Woaah! Its getting tougher" . Doing 70 squats a day became a big challenge for me.
I could feel the pain in my muscles. This reminded me of the overload principle (Medical Nerds we are :p) and I decided to continue what so ever. I had to strengthen my muscles , make them tough , I had to complete this challenge.
Seeing others posting a 'DONE' message daily on our whatsapp group, as the trend was, gave me the motivation that if others can, even I can do it. So I progressed through the challenge.
I learnt through this challenge that we all have the potential to do everything , it's just that we need to push ourselves into it , we need to believe in ourselves and we'll then be halfway through the journey towards achieving something.
Last few days were very demanding. More energy was required , more motivation & more dedication , but as each day passed by, it felt more regarding. Some out of all could not complete the challenge , but others went through it and completed the 30 days task.
